Millbank Public School is a small rural school, approximately 50 kilometres west of Kempsey on the NSW north coast. Despite its size, Millbank has a history of high student achievement in academic areas, the arts and sports.
The school was established in 1891 and serves a diverse community with a strong emphasis on the environment. Millbank Public School has previously achieved third place in the Australian Habitat Program competition, Environmental Hero of the Month through Readers Digest Environment Awards and 2003 Winner of the State Energy Challenge (small schools category).
Working together, the school and community strive for the highest standards of environmental management, and aim to be recognised as an environmental school of excellence. We have included examples of some of our work in the school initiative pages of this site.
